Each year our school supports Day For Daniel which occurs on Friday 30th October. Day For Daniel is not about feeling sorry for Daniel Morcombe but in fact a day where we emphasise protection, safety and opportunities for our children.
As a school, we have several activities happening inside and outside the classroom in support of this very important message.
Our school will go "red" on Friday 30th October with students' gold coin donations going to the Daniel Morcombe Foundation. Our student council will also be selling red ribbons for $1 before school and at first lunch from Monday 26 October to Friday 30 October outside the tuckshop.
We would appreciate if all families could take some time out and talk about Day For Daniel with your children, reminding them that this is not a remembrance day for Daniel but in fact a day where we remind ourselves how to stay safe. A great resource for families to use is the official website - www.dayfordaniel.com.au
