This week you will receive an Attendance Report for our child/ren. The Report shows the child's attendance record for Term 1. At Tullawong we aim for 90% - 94% attendance each year. This is a good level of attendance which allows children to maintain their friendships and to grasp new concepts and ideas in the learning areas. If your child's attendance is less than 85%, you are encouraged to make an appointment through the office with the Deputy Principal for the area.
All absences require a valid explanation by the parent/carers. This can be done by:
* Write a note to the class teacher outlining the reasons for the absence, the length of the absence and the parent/carer's signature.
* Phoning the Absence Line on 5431 4660 and giving the student's full name, class or teacher, the date of absence and the reason for absence.
* Responding to the Infoways SMS4Schools text message. A text is sent to the first parent/guardian listed in the student's OneSchool record. Texts are sent after 9:00am. Text responses update the attendance roll.
