Book Week this year will take place during the week beginning Monday 14th September. The staff are busy planning activities for the week that will help to encourage your children to continue to have a love of books and reading.
Our Book Week theme this year is "Books Light Up Our World". During the week there will be many exciting activities and events around the school and within classrooms.
Tuesday 15th September parents/carers and grandparents are invited to join the students in their classrooms for a drop everything and read session between 8:40am and 9:00am. Please bring along your favourite book to read to your child.
Tuesday 15th September we will also be holding a book swap before school between 8:00am and 8:20am and at both breaks after eating time in the SSC. Students can start bringing books into the SSC from Monday 31st August. For each book brought into school, students will receive a token. They can then use this token to choose a different book on the day.
Wednesday 16th September your child may attend school dressed as their favourite book character. A special parade will be held for students to display their costumes, and prizes will be awarded to students for being the "best dressed" in each year level.
Prep - Yr 2: 8:45am
Yr 3 - 6: 11:30am
Students may choose to wear their costumes only during the parade and may therefore like to bring along their uniform to change into. Sensible shoes, such as school shoes are to be worn throughout the day.
